July 2011 at Molly’s Cafe

July has already started, and if you missed it, July 1 was Canada Day and July 4 American Independence Day. Whoopee.

If you have visited the cafe (and if you haven’t come soon!), you have noticed that I have rented out some space to Hammam 2. Elif and Vefa have another little shop a few streets away that sells bath textiles and soaps. Here they sell beautiful kitchen abd bed textiles, and of course soaps. Come and do some shopping while you are there.  Check out http://www.hammam.com.tr/

You may have already read that we will have very interesting music here on Sat. July 9 — Maori music! It will be mixed with other music, as the musicians are both from New Zealand and from Turkey. This will be a unique music event, so don’t miss it! As usual, it is 10 lira for the music. Time is 9 to 11pm.

On July 10 there will be a sale of vintage clothing here at the café Check out the Facebook page at

On July 16 from 9 to 11pm we will have swing music by Billie Not On Holiday. Again, this is an international group of musicians and they play very upbeat music. As usual, it is 10 lira for the music.

July 23 brings us to Hulya and friends, who will play a mixture of music. They are very creative musicians, so again, come check it out. 9 to 11pm, 10 lira for the music.

Finally, we will have traditional Turkish and Greek music on July 30 from 9 to 11 pm. It will be a lovely evening of music, so do come. 10 lira for the music.

See you soon!
